I'm still not sure how it happened but about 2 months ago, I was contacted by a writer to do an interview for a new magazine. I spent about an hour and a half on the phone answering questions about what I do for a living, what I'm involved in, what my passions are, etc. Soon after the interview, I was contacted to set up a photo shoot with my violin at the symphony hall also for this new magazine. After the photo shoot, I didn't hear anything more until I ran into a parent of a patient who mentioned that his wife was featured in the magazine too and that my picture was going to be on the cover. Yowza....was I surprised.
About a week ago, the cover of the magazine showed up in the local paper advertising the magazine as "Coming Soon":
Then, a few days later, an article about the magazine's launch was in the paper:
I finally got my hands on a few copies of the actual magazine when the editor of the paper dropped some off at my office. Here's the cover:
I have to say, the magazine is really nice and the article as well. I'm definitely going to have to snag a few extra copies to send to my mom. LOL.
